How are you feeling today?
How are you really feeling?
Have you given that some thought today?
Maybe you have a headache, or you are feeling tired, or angry, or you are having digestion problems or muscle cramps.
Did you ever think about where that is coming from?
Can you connect it to what you’ve been eating, your sleeping pattern or your lifestyle?
Can you connect it to something that you are doing to yourself?
Let me ask you a few more questions. ( I know, I can be a pain in the B). Do you have:
Digestion problems
Like:
- gas
- bloating
- constipation or diarrhea
- GI tract issues (like Crohn’s, IBS)
- heartburn
Unbalanced energy levels
Like:
- feeling sleepy after food
- sugar lows
- slow or extremely active metabolism
- feeling foggy
- feeling tired despite sleeping enough
Or other more or less ‘vague’ symptoms
Other (I use the term ‘vague’ loosely) symptoms like:
- PMS
- poor circulation
- runny nose
- cough that doesn’t go away
- weak immune system
If you are experiencing many of these, it is not alright to consider this normal. You may have learned to think it’s just the way it is, but it is not! Maybe you even heard you are imagining things! These symptoms are a subtle signal of your body that there is an imbalance. When you ignore these symptoms they may become chronic. They may get worse. If you constantly let your body fight sugar or adrenaline, or try to fix your GI tract, do you think there is still the capacity to fix things that are worse, that are stronger?
I know I am asking a lot of questions today but I’d really like you to think about it sincerely.
If you constantly let your body fight sugar, or try to fix your GI tract, do you think there is still the capacity to fix things that are worse?
Do you believe you can change this?
That you can get rid of your complaints?
I believe it. Learning how food and my lifestyle generally affect my body has really helped me fix complaints that I thought were normal. Going from a corporate stress bunny to yoga teacher and ayurveda practitioner has really helped me get healthier and look and feel younger. Of course I am not saying we should all be yoga teachers (winkwink)!
Ayurveda says so
When I discovered ayurveda I found a lot of answers to my questions about food, my body, my health. It helped me A LOT, and I know it can help others too. Bad digestion, brain fog and low energy levels are not normal. Ayurveda says so :)
